Dust Test Chambers
Building & ConstructionDust tests are mainly performed to test functioning of electronic components under extreme environmental conditions. Various standards specify the test duration and composition of dust used.
The standard SAE J 575 is performed with three to five kilogrammes of unburnt Portland cement (according to ASTM C 150-77). Portland cement is especially characterised by its fine grain size.
The dust is filled in the funnel below the test space. The formation of dust within the test space is effected by compressed air injection through four special nozzles. The dust is blown and swirled in upper test space by intensive air movement. The pulse time for this action is two to 15 seconds with a brake of 15 minutes between the single impulses.
Product features:
Colour touch panel
S!MPAC digital 32-bit measurement and control system
The test cabinet is of modular design and ready to be installed
Designed to be used under extreme conditions
Independent of design and condition of the test specimen, a constant dust density is reached due to special
high-capacity compressed air nozzles, which leads to reliable test results
