Q LAWNS TURF GROWING UNIT IS BASED ON THE NORFOLK/SUFFOLK/CAMBRIDGESHIRE BORDER NOT FAR FROM THE VILLAGE OF FELTWELL.THIS WAS THE FIRST TURF GROWER TO BE AQUIRED BY HARROWDEN TURF LTD IN 2007

 

Currently employing 36 local people and a handful of casual workers, this Norfolk farm grows some 400 hectares of turf on a distinctive and unusual black organic soil.Q Lawns is part of a farming enterprise where the turf crop is grown in rotation with potatoes, oilseed rape, and wheat.

Lawn turf began to be grown here in the 1990’s and the first sales were made in 1994. Over the past two decades, the Company has expanded 5-fold and has gained a solid reputation for producing quality turf grass at sensible prices.

Sales Manager Chris Carr, Marketing Coordinator Angela Lambert and Production Manager Brian Walker were just three of the people who helped to get Q Lawns off the ground (excuse the pun) and all three are still with the Company today.

A testament to the way that the organisation nurtures and develops employees. Q Lawns’ customers include Royal Parks, prestigious garden designers, home gardeners, TV personalities and landscape contractors from all over the UK.
