Here at P&J Dust Extraction we specialise in the design, manufacture, supply and installation of dust and fume extraction systems. Following installation we provide LEV commissioning, machine maintenance and LEV statutory testing for all types of extraction systems.

One of the services we offer our customers includes LEV commissioning which should be carried out following system installation or changes.  Our commissioning report covers both the LEV system equipment/hardware and the operators' work practices.

A commissioning report should include:

• Statement whether or not the four key statutory obligations under COSHH are achieved
• Diagrams and a description of the LEV
• Photographs
• Details of the LEV performance specification
• Pressures and air velocities at stated test points
• Calculations made
• Written descriptions of commissioning, the tests made and the outcome 
• Air sampling results 
• Filter efficiencies 
• Contamination concentration of cleaned air if returned to the workplace
• Operator LEV usage
• Action plan detailing any improvements or best practice recommendations
